DevOps Course Fees in India (2026): Exact Prices and What They Cover

Most live, instructor-led DevOps courses in India cost somewhere between ₹15,000 and ₹1,20,000. Recorded self-paced courses go as low as ₹500 when there’s a sale on. Ours sit at ₹35,000 (Professional, 60 hours) and ₹80,000 (Expert, 150 hours over 5 months), and there’s no GST added on top.

Why such a huge range? Because “DevOps course” is a label stuck on very different products. A ₹499 video course, a weekend batch at the institute down the road, and a six-month programme from a big national brand all use the same two words in their titles. Comparing their prices directly is a bit like comparing a bus ticket with a cab fare and asking which one is overpriced.

You’ll also run into university programmes in search results, things like an MCA with a cloud specialisation. Those take years and cost lakhs. Different goal, different budget, different page.

If you only read one more section after this, make it Section 07. That’s where the money usually leaks.

A lump-sum fee on its own is weirdly hard to judge. Is ₹28,000 cheaper than ₹35,000? Not if the ₹28,000 course gives you 30 hours of class and the other gives you 60. The simplest fix is to divide the fee by the live hours. Try it on every course you’re considering, ours included.

When you do that for our two courses, something slightly odd shows up: Expert is the cheaper one per hour. Roughly ₹533 against ₹583. The extra ₹45,000 buys you 90 more hours, so each of those hours costs ₹500.

Sixty hours of live class across ten weeks, on Saturdays and Sundays. Call it six hours a week of class, and then whatever time you put into practice, which (speaking from experience) is where most of the actual learning happens.

You’ll work through the stuff a junior DevOps engineer gets asked about in interviews: Linux, Git, CI/CD with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps with ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible, and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana. Everything runs on AWS. There’s also our GenAI for DevOps module, which covers where AI tools genuinely help in pipeline and ops work, and where they mostly get in the way.

It’s aimed at entry-level DevOps, cloud and build-and-release jobs. The role target our learners have reported for this course is 8–18 LPA.¹ Treat that as a range, not a promise. Your city, your previous job and how you interview all move the number.

150 hours over five months. This one’s for people who already have an IT job and want to stop being the person who runs the pipeline and become the person who designs it.

It covers everything in Professional, then adds one-to-one mentorship, Istio, GitOps at scale with ArgoCD and Flux, multi-cloud, DevSecOps, SRE practice, and a capstone built the way production systems are actually built.

If you haven’t written a shell script before, please don’t start here. It moves quickly and doesn’t stop to re-explain the basics.

The instructor teaches every class live on Zoom. Not a TA, and definitely not a counsellor reading slides. Batches are capped at 15 people.

That cap is the thing we’d protect even if everything else changed. When your Kubernetes pod is stuck in CrashLoopBackOff halfway through a weekend class, you want to be one of 15 people in the room, not one of 80 typing into a chat box nobody reads.

Labs run on AWS, on the AWS Free Tier wherever possible. Before you spin up anything that might bill, the instructor sits through the account setup with you, budget alerts included.

Cloud isn’t magically free, though, and we’d be lying if we said otherwise. A few AWS services start charging by the hour the moment they exist. We’ll show you which ones, how to tear them down, and what to do if you forget (it happens to everyone once).

Five projects, all on real AWS infrastructure: a CI/CD pipeline that works end to end, apps containerised and deployed on Kubernetes, infrastructure written in Terraform, and monitoring wired up with Prometheus and Grafana. Expert learners add a production-style capstone.

The point isn’t the projects themselves. It’s that at the end you can open your GitHub in an interview and walk someone through what you built and why it broke the first three times. Interviewers care about that a lot more than a PDF certificate.

Every session is recorded and you keep access for life. You get a completion certificate, and the GenAI for DevOps module comes with its own separate certificate.

Industry certifications such as AWS or CKA aren’t part of the fee. You pay the exam body for those yourself. More on that in Section 07.

“Placement assistance” is one of those phrases that can mean anything, so here’s what it means for us.

On Professional, we help with your resume and prepare you for interviews, including mock technical rounds where we ask the annoying questions on purpose.

On Expert, it goes further: resume and LinkedIn review, mock interviews, referrals to companies we work with, and help when an offer comes in and you’re not sure whether to negotiate.

What it never means, on either course, is a guaranteed job, a fixed salary or a set number of interviews. Anyone promising those is selling something. If you’d like to check our numbers, here’s how we calculate placement figures.

A rough way to decide: if you’re a fresher, coming from a non-IT background, or working in support, testing or sysadmin without ever having built a pipeline yourself, go with Professional. It gets you ready for an entry-level role and stops there, which is exactly where you want it to stop. Coming in from completely outside tech? Expert makes sense once scripting and Git are second nature and you’ve at least poked around a cloud console at work. It’s built for people who want to design platforms.

About that ₹45,000 gap. It gets you 90 extra hours at ₹500 each, the mentorship, and the senior-level material. Good value, but only if you’re ready to use it now. An hour of Istio you don’t understand yet is still an hour wasted, however cheap it was.

We’d actively talk you out of Expert if you’re still figuring out what a container is, or if you can’t find ten to twelve hours a week including practice. Picking it purely because the per-hour maths looks better is the wrong reason too.

Yes, there’s an EMI option. “EMI available” by itself is close to meaningless though, so here are the actual numbers.

On Professional, three instalments add up to exactly the cash fee. Nothing is charged for splitting it, so the EMI costs you nothing extra.

Wherever you compare, look at the total payable, not the monthly amount. A tiny monthly figure spread over a long tenure can hide a processing fee or interest that quietly pushes you well past the cash price. “No-cost EMI” deserves two questions: is there a processing fee, and is the amount being financed the same as the cash fee? If either answer is no, it isn’t really no-cost.

We’ll put the tenure, the monthly amount and the total payable in writing before you sign anything. Ask every other institute to do the same and see who hesitates.

You can pay in full through UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking. Since there’s no GST, the receipt just shows one number. The refund rules in Section 09 apply however you pay.

Personal opinion: if paying the whole amount upfront would wipe out your emergency savings, take the EMI. On Professional it costs nothing extra anyway. Trying to learn Kubernetes while worrying about next month’s rent is a bad combination.

The usual hidden costs in a DevOps course are tax added at checkout, certification exam fees, cloud bills from labs, recordings that expire, paid add-ons after you’ve joined, and EMI charges. You won’t see any of them in a headline fee.

We’re describing patterns here, not naming anyone. Check for every one of these wherever you enrol. Including with us.

The fee that only exists on a phone call. If the price comes out of a conversation, it can shift with your budget, the time of month or the counsellor’s target. The only fee you can fairly compare is one that’s written down publicly. Ours is at the top of this page.

Tax that appears at the payment step. Some fees grow by the time you reach checkout. Ask for the total in writing. With us, there’s no GST, so nothing gets added.

Exam vouchers. Certifications are paid to the exam body, not the training provider. The AWS Certified Solutions Architect exam is paid to AWS, and the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam to the Linux Foundation. Check current prices on those pages, since they change. The cloud bill nobody warned you about. This catches beginners constantly. Some AWS services bill hourly even on a brand-new account. A managed Kubernetes control plane or a NAT gateway left running over a long weekend is enough to produce an unpleasant email from AWS. Ask any institute how their labs stop this from happening.

“Lifetime” recordings that aren’t. Sometimes the headline says lifetime and the terms say twelve months. Read the terms.

Upsells after enrolment. Placement packs, interview kits, “advanced” modules, pay-after-placement contracts. These sometimes show up only after the first payment clears. Get the complete inclusion list before you pay. Ours is Section 03, and nothing gets sold separately later.

EMI that’s not quite no-cost. Processing fees, or EMI calculated on a higher price than the cash fee. Compare total payable, always.

Batch size and the demo bait-and-switch. A “small batch” that turns out to be large, or a demo class taken by a sales person rather than the instructor you’ll actually get.

Your time. About six hours of class a week for ten weeks on Professional, plus practice. No rupee figure attached, but it’s very much a cost.

Depends who you are. Everything taught in any DevOps course exists for free somewhere: official docs, YouTube, open-source repos, Discord servers full of people happy to help. A paid course isn’t selling secret knowledge. It’s selling structure, feedback, and the months you’d otherwise spend stuck.

Some people genuinely don’t need us. If you’re disciplined about a schedule, fine with being stuck on a broken config for a day or two, and happy to build projects with nobody checking them, go the free route. Start with our free DevOps roadmap (same order of topics we teach, by the way).

What usually goes wrong with self-study isn’t a lack of material. People stall at specific walls, Kubernetes networking or a corrupted Terraform state file, with nobody to ask. That’s where live teaching earns its money. You get unstuck the same day, you build things against a deadline, and someone reviews your work. If you’ve started and abandoned self-study two or three times already, that’s a pretty clear sign.

And there are people this course just isn’t right for. If free material works for you, keep your money. If six hours a week plus practice isn’t realistic for the next ten weeks, wait until it is. If what you actually need is a degree, for a visa or a government job or a master’s, a skills course won’t get you there.

A made-up example, purely to show the arithmetic. Someone in IT support takes home ₹30,000 a month. After the Professional course and a few months of applying, they land a junior DevOps role paying ₹40,000 take-home. That’s ₹10,000 more each month. Add ₹35,000 in fees and maybe ₹3,000 in other costs, and they’ve earned it back about four months after the first new salary.

Now stretch the job search from three months to eight. The payback moves out a long way, and the fee was still paid upfront. Run the formula with cautious numbers, not optimistic ones.

The fee is the same no matter where you live. Every class is live on Zoom, so someone in Lucknow or Kochi sits in the same batch, with the same instructor, paying the same ₹35,000 or ₹80,000 as someone in a metro.

That’s an underrated benefit of online classes. You’re not paying a share of someone’s classroom rent, and you’re not restricted to whatever institute is within commuting distance. You do need a stable internet connection and a laptop that can comfortably run Docker with a few containers.
