DevOps Course in Vadodara: Live Online Training for Baroda, Ahmedabad and Remote Jobs

devops course in vadodara

Vadodara’s DevOps market is real but small next to Pune or Bangalore, and it pays less — most pages about training here leave that out. This one covers who actually hires, what Glassdoor shows, and the three routes that work from Baroda: local, the Ahmedabad–GIFT City belt, and remote. Live online, 10 weeks, max 10 students.

By Firoz Ahmed, Lead Instructor. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, 8+ years in DevOps including DevOps Lead at TCS, teaching full time since 2021. Market figures last checked 10 September 2026. How we source them.

Most weeks I get a message from someone in Gujarat looking for a DevOps course in Vadodara, and it tends to carry the same worry: do I have to move to Pune or Bangalore to get into this field?

Short answer, no. Longer answer: your first DevOps job may well not be in Vadodara, even if you never leave the city.

Two things before you read on. This is a live online course. We don't have a classroom in Baroda and I'm not going to hint that we do. And Vadodara's DevOps market is real but small next to Pune or Bangalore, and it pays less. Most pages about DevOps training in Vadodara leave that bit out.

Below is the local job picture as of September 2026, the three routes that actually work from here, and exactly what you get if you join. I run this course, so I'm not neutral. Check what I say against the sources I link.

DevOps Jobs in Vadodara: Who Hires and What They Pay

Vadodara's tech offices sit in a handful of places. Alkapuri and the RC Dutt Road stretch, Sayajigunj near the station, and the newer towers along Gotri–Sevasi and Akota. There's a dedicated IT park as well, VIT-CIT.

The employer mix is nothing like Hinjewadi or Whitefield. It's mostly mid-size software firms doing offshore work for US and UK clients, a few SaaS product teams, the big service companies with smaller local offices, and engineering and industrial firms whose IT teams need people who can automate. Names that showed up in Vadodara DevOps listings this year include Rishabh Software, Sunflower Lab, Qualifacts, Rigel Networks, SI2 Tech, TÜV SÜD and Accelleron.

That's a useful list. It's also a short one.

On volume: when we checked in early 2026, job boards showed somewhere between about 40 and 85 DevOps listings tagged Vadodara, depending on the site — Glassdoor had 44 in February, foundit 74 the same month, and Jobsora 84 in May. A chunk of those are remote roles with a Vadodara tag, and a fair number want 7+ years. The same search for Pune or Bangalore runs into the thousands.

On pay, here's what Glassdoor shows. I've put Vadodara next to the all-India figure because the gap is the point.

DevOps Engineer pay (Glassdoor) Vadodara All India
25th percentile₹3.55 lakh₹5.4 lakh
Average₹7.75 lakh₹9 lakh
75th percentile₹10.75 lakh₹14.75 lakh
90th percentile₹14.3 lakh₹24.2 lakh
Based on17 salaries, as of Sept 202515,000+ salaries, as of Sept 2026

Source: Glassdoor salary pages for DevOps Engineer (Vadodara and India), checked 10 September 2026. Seventeen salaries is a small sample, so treat the Vadodara column as a rough guide, not a promise. How we calculate figures.

Glassdoor puts the Vadodara average about 14% under the national one. For wider context, Payscale's median for a software engineer in Vadodara is around ₹3.9 lakh. So when you see a DevOps course promising ₹15–25 LPA, ask where. It won't be a fresher role here.

My read, for what it's worth: a fresher here should expect local offers near the bottom of that table. The people at the top end are usually 4–6 years in, comfortable with Kubernetes and cloud cost, and working for a foreign client.

Azure DevOps in Vadodara job listings

Read enough Vadodara listings and you'll notice Azure comes up more often than it does in Bangalore. A lot of local firms build on .NET for clients who already run on Microsoft, so the ad asks for Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines or Bicep.

Our course is built on AWS. I think that's still the right call for most people, because it's what the majority of DevOps listings I see across India ask for. But I'd be lying if I said Azure doesn't matter here.

The good news is the ideas carry over. If you can write a GitHub Actions workflow that builds an image, scans it with Trivy and deploys to EKS, picking up the Azure Pipelines YAML for the same job takes days, not months. Terraform works on both clouds, and the advanced level covers Azure deployment basics. More on how the clouds compare in our AWS vs Azure vs GCP for DevOps explainer.

Can You Get a DevOps Job in Vadodara Without Moving?

Yes, if you stop limiting yourself to Vadodara listings. Treat Baroda as where you live, not as the edge of your job search. There are three routes, and most of our Gujarat students end up using more than one.

Vadodara local Ahmedabad & GIFT City Remote

RelocationNoHybrid commute or moveNo

Vadodara itself is the easiest place to land an interview and the hardest place to get a big number. If you're a fresher, that trade can still be worth it. One year of real production work changes which jobs will look at you.

Ahmedabad and GIFT City are about 110 km up the expressway, so roughly two hours door to door. Ahmedabad has a far bigger pool of service and product companies. GIFT City in Gandhinagar is mostly financial services and fintech, and Gujarat's GCC policy for 2025–30 is trying to pull more capability centres into the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar belt. Those teams care about uptime and audit trails, which is exactly where Terraform, GitOps and proper monitoring earn their place on your resume. A lot of these roles are hybrid.

Remote is where location stops mattering and your portfolio starts. It's also where every other DevOps learner in India is applying. I'll say something unpopular here: fully remote first jobs for freshers are rare. They happen, but I wouldn't build a plan around one. If you want to know what remote DevOps roles actually pay, we wrote up remote DevOps jobs from India separately, and the service vs product company roles piece helps you decide which kind of employer to aim at first.

If I were a Vadodara fresher with a decent local or Ahmedabad offer, I'd take it and keep building. Waiting eight months for a perfect remote role costs more than it looks.

Online vs Classroom DevOps Training in Vadodara

Search for DevOps classes in this city and half of what comes back is directories of classroom institutes. Fair enough. Some people learn better in a room. If you need a fixed place to go every evening, or you don't have a reliable laptop and internet at home, a local classroom may genuinely suit you better than we will.

For everyone else, here's the honest comparison.

Typical local classroom Our live online batch
Batch sizeVaries. Ask for it in writing.Maximum 10
Who teachesOften not the person you met at the demoFiroz, every session
Getting thereTravel across the city; Waghodia Road to Gotri can eat an hourFrom home or your hostel
Missed a classDepends on the instituteRecording the same day, doubts on Slack
Where you practiseShared lab machines, sometimes local VMsYour own AWS account, credits included in Professional
FeeOften shared only after a counselling callPublished on the site

Whichever way you go, the question people type into Google is "best DevOps institute in Vadodara". I can't answer that for you, and neither can a directory. What I can give you is the five checks I'd run on any institute, including this one:

  1. Ask for the maximum batch size in writing. "Small batches" is not a number.
  2. Get the name of the person who will actually teach you, then look them up on LinkedIn. Have they run production systems?
  3. Read the tool list. If Puppet, Chef, Nagios and SVN are the headline and Kubernetes or Terraform are an afterthought, the syllabus hasn't been touched in years.
  4. Get the full fee in writing before any counselling call.
  5. Ask to speak to a past student for ten minutes. Pick them yourself if you can.

If an institute gets awkward about any of these, that tells you something.

DevOps Course Curriculum for Vadodara Learners

The syllabus is the same for every city. Here's the course in four phases.

Weeks 1–2, foundations. Linux, shell scripting and Git, done properly. By the end you've written a bash script that checks disk and memory on a server and alerts you, and you're comfortable branching, rebasing and fixing a merge conflict without panicking. Boring? A bit. It's also where most interviews in Vadodara start.

Weeks 3–5, building and shipping. Docker, then CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, then Terraform and Ansible. You'll build a pipeline where a push to GitHub runs tests, builds an image, scans it with Trivy and pushes it to ECR. Then you'll provision the infrastructure for it with Terraform instead of clicking around the AWS console.

Weeks 6–8, Kubernetes. EKS, Helm and ArgoCD. You'll deploy a small microservices app, then I'll break your cluster and you'll fix it. This is the phase that separates people who've watched Kubernetes videos from people who can talk about it in an interview.

Weeks 9–10, running it. Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager, plus a capstone that ties everything together on real AWS infrastructure.

GenAI is included from the Professional level onward. Rather than repeat it here, the full breakdown is on the GenAI module page, and the full course syllabus lists every topic.

One opinion I'll stand behind. An institute certificate is worth close to nothing to a recruiter, in Vadodara or anywhere else. Your GitHub is what they open. Everything in this course is built so that you finish with repos you can walk someone through.

DevOps Batch Timings for Vadodara Students and Working Professionals

There are two batches. The weekday evening batch runs Monday to Thursday, 7:00–9:30 PM IST, which works if you finish a 9-to-6 in Alkapuri or Gotri and get home by eight. The weekend batch runs Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 1 PM, and suits MSU and Parul University students, and anyone on rotating shifts at the industrial estates.

Budget the time honestly. On top of the live classes, weekly assignments take most people 3 to 5 hours. If you can't find that, wait for a better month rather than paying and falling behind.

Miss a class and the recording is up the same day. Doubts go on Slack.

If you'd like to see how a class runs before deciding anything, book the free demo. It's 45 minutes. You build a working CI/CD pipeline in it, there are no slides, and nobody asks for payment.

DevOps Course Fees in Vadodara: What You Pay and What It Covers

The fee is the same whether you join from Vadodara or Bangalore.

Tier Fee Live hours Best for
Professional (most students)₹35,00050Anyone aiming for a DevOps engineer role; includes AWS credits for projects
Expert₹80,000150Working engineers going for senior DevOps or SRE roles

EMI is available on Professional and Expert, and Professional can also be paid as two instalments of ₹17,500 about a month apart. There's a full refund within 7 days, and the details are in our refund policy. Certification exam fees, if you choose to sit one, go straight to AWS, Microsoft or the Linux Foundation and aren't part of what we charge.

Whether ₹35,000 is a lot depends on what you earn. If you're on 3.5 LPA it's more than a month's salary, and I'd rather you took the demo, spoke to a past student and decided slowly. Everything we teach is available free online somewhere. What the fee buys is structure, someone reviewing your work every week, and a batch that notices when you go quiet.

DevOps Training Across Vadodara: Localities and Who Joins

Because everything is online, where you live in the city only matters for which batch fits your day.

People in the west of the city (Alkapuri, Race Course, Gotri, Sevasi, Vasna-Bhayli, Akota) are mostly working in IT already and tend to pick the evening batch. From the centre and north (Sayajigunj, Fatehgunj, Nizampura, Sama, Subhanpura, Gorwa) we get a lot of MSU students and people a year or two into their first job. The east and south (Waghodia Road, Karelibaug, Harni, Manjalpur, Makarpura) bring Parul University students and engineers from the industrial side of the city, who usually prefer weekends.

That last group is worth a word. Vadodara has plenty of mechanical, electrical and chemical engineers in manufacturing, energy and pharma who want to move into IT. A non-CS degree is not the problem people think it is, if the project work is real. It does take longer, and our guide to switching into DevOps from a non-IT background is straight about how much longer. If you're a fresher starting from zero, the DevOps roadmap for freshers is a good first read.

Classes are in English. If something doesn't land, you can ask for it in Hindi during doubt sessions.

Who This DevOps Course Is Not For

If you want a physical classroom in Vadodara, this isn't it, and that's fine.

It's also not for someone who will only take a job inside city limits and expects metro pay for it. That combination mostly doesn't exist yet. Same goes for anyone looking for a guaranteed job in eight weeks. We don't offer that, and I'd be wary of anyone who does.

If you can't find the weekly hours right now, wait. And if you already work as a DevOps engineer and only need to pass an exam, you'll get more from certification-specific prep than from a full course.

Student Stories from Gujarat

We don't have a Vadodara student story we can publish with the student's permission yet, so I'm not going to invent one. The videos on our other city pages are from students elsewhere. If you'd like to talk to a past student before joining, ask during the demo and I'll set it up.

Before You Pick a DevOps Course in Vadodara

Take the five checks from earlier to every institute you're considering in Vadodara. Include us. Ask for the batch size in writing, the fee in writing, and ten minutes with someone who has finished the course.

If you want to see how we teach, book the free demo. It's 45 minutes, you build a real pipeline, and there's no payment and no follow-up pressure. If it's not for you, you'll at least know what good looks like when you compare.

Prefer to see how we cover other cities? Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad.

About these figures. "Up to 85%" placement is our best cohort result, not an average, and counts only students who completed the full course. Salary figures from alumni are self-reported and not independently verified. Job placement is not guaranteed. How we calculate these numbers.

DevOps Training in Vadodara — FAQs

Which is the best DevOps institute in Vadodara?

There isn't one right answer. It depends on whether you want a classroom or live online, and how much attention you need. Check any institute on batch size in writing, who actually teaches, how current the tool list is, the fee in writing, and whether you can speak to a past student.

Is there classroom DevOps training in Vadodara, or is it only online?

Several local institutes offer classroom DevOps training. We don't. SwitchtoDevOps runs live online classes on Zoom with a maximum of 10 students, so you can join from anywhere in Vadodara without commuting. Every session is recorded, and you practise on your own AWS account.

What is the DevOps course fee in Vadodara?

Our fees are ₹35,000 for Professional and ₹80,000 for Expert, the same in every city. EMI is available on Professional and Expert, and there's a full refund within 7 days. Certification exam fees are paid separately to the exam provider.

Which companies hire DevOps engineers in Vadodara?

Vadodara DevOps listings in 2026 came mostly from mid-size software firms serving US and UK clients, SaaS teams, service companies with local offices, and engineering firms. Names seen this year include Rishabh Software, Sunflower Lab, Qualifacts, Rigel Networks and TÜV SÜD. None of them is a hiring partner of SwitchtoDevOps. Check current listings, since this changes quickly.

What is the DevOps salary for freshers in Vadodara?

Glassdoor puts the typical DevOps engineer range in Vadodara at about ₹3.55 to ₹10.75 lakh a year, with an average near ₹7.75 lakh, from a small sample of 17 salaries. Freshers usually start near the lower end. Ahmedabad, GIFT City and remote roles can pay more.

Do Vadodara companies use AWS or Azure? Does the course cover Azure?

Both, but Azure turns up more in Vadodara than in most metros because many local firms work on .NET. The course is built on AWS, and pipelines, Terraform and containers carry over to Azure. The advanced level covers Azure deployment basics.

Can MSU or Parul University students, or non-IT engineers, join?

Yes. Final-year students usually take the weekend batch alongside college. Engineers from mechanical, electrical or chemical backgrounds can switch too, though it takes longer than for CS graduates. No prior DevOps knowledge is needed; we start from Linux basics.

Can I get a remote DevOps job while living in Vadodara?

It's possible, but remote roles are competitive and rarely go to freshers. Most people do better starting with a Vadodara or Ahmedabad role, building a year of production experience, then applying for remote jobs with a strong GitHub portfolio behind them.

How long is the DevOps course, and what are the batch timings?

The course runs 10 weeks. The weekday batch is Monday to Thursday, 7:00–9:30 PM IST; the weekend batch is Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 1 PM. Every session is recorded, so a missed class isn't lost.

Is DevOps training available in Hindi?

Classes are in English, because interviews and documentation are. If something doesn't land, you can ask for it in Hindi during doubt sessions.
