Before you pick a DevOps course in Lucknow, you deserve a straight description of the market you'll be job-hunting in. Lucknow has real tech employers. HCL runs a 100-acre campus on Sultanpur Road, TCS has been in Vibhuti Khand for years, and the state government has named Lucknow as one of its next destinations for global capability centres. But the city's IT workforce is still a fraction of Noida's, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

That's exactly why DevOps training is worth a look here. It opens three doors instead of one: a role in Lucknow, a move to Noida, or, once you have some experience, a remote job with a company based somewhere else. You can build the skills live, in a batch of ten, without leaving home, in about two months.

Live online · Max 15 students per batch · ₹35,000 (EMI available) · Taught by an ex-DevOps Lead at Maxgen Technologies Pvt. Ltd · Doubts explained in Hindi too

A new batch starts every Sunday — max 15 students per batch.

Lucknow IT Reality: Why DevOps Training in Lucknow Makes Sense Now

Most people in Lucknow who look into DevOps are starting from one of four places. They end up needing the same skills, but the route, the worries and the pace are different for each.

You're graduating from an AKTU college

IET Lucknow, BBD on Faizabad Road, Integral, SRMU, Amity, IIIT Lucknow, or one of the dozens of other AKTU colleges around the city. Campus placement gave you a mass-recruiter offer, or a role that isn't really engineering, or nothing so far. And the CV you're sending out looks a lot like your classmates'.

A fresher CV gets noticed when it contains proof. Five projects running on real AWS infrastructure, each with a public GitHub repo and most with a live link, give an interviewer at IT City or Vibhuti Khand something to open and question you about. That's what this course is built to produce.

You gave a few years to government exam preparation

Lucknow has one of the largest exam-preparation cultures in the country. Maybe you spent two or three years in the Aliganj and Kapoorthala coaching belt preparing for SSC, UPSC or UPPSC. Maybe you came close. Now you're looking for a second path, and quietly wondering whether those years count against you.

They don't have to. The habits that exam preparation builds, like steady daily study, working through a fixed syllabus and revising until it sticks, are exactly what learning DevOps demands. What you'll need is a clear story for interviews about why you're switching and what you've built since. We'll help you tell it honestly.

You're in support, testing or a BPO role

L1 or L2 support, manual testing, a process role, maybe a night shift, somewhere in Gomti Nagar or out on Sultanpur Road. You already handle tickets, watch dashboards and escalate when something breaks.

What's missing is the build side: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, pipelines. Add those, and your support years start to read as operations experience. Many of the roles you can move into also come with regular working hours, which after a few years of rotating shifts is worth something on its own.

You work in Noida, or you're thinking about it

You might already be doing the Lucknow–Noida back-and-forth, living in a shared flat in Sector 62 and taking the expressway home on long weekends. Or you're weighing whether to go at all, because family is here and so is the food.

DevOps gives you more say in that decision than most tech roles do. Noida has far more openings, and the section below is honest about that. But once you've got a year or two of production experience, remote DevOps roles become realistic, and Lucknow's own capability-centre base is slowly growing.

Lucknow at a glance

Figure Detail
HCL IT City, Sultanpur RoadAbout 100 acres, built as a public-private partnership with the state
UP's stated GCC ambitionRoughly 10% of India's new capability centres; Lucknow named a future hub
Lucknow software workforceEstimated 25,000–35,000 (industry estimate, not an official figure)

DevOps Jobs in Lucknow: HCL IT City, Gomti Nagar and Who Hires

Lucknow's tech jobs are clustered in a handful of places. Each one hires a little differently, and knowing where you're aiming helps you prepare for the right kind of interview.

HCL IT City, Sultanpur Road

The single biggest IT employer in the city, near Sushant Golf City. HCL built the campus with the state government and serves global clients in telecom, banking and engineering from here. Hiring is structured and high-volume. DevOps and infrastructure work tends to be on large client environments, so interviewers look for clean fundamentals and a careful approach to change.

Vibhuti Khand and Gomti Nagar

Lucknow's business district. TCS has run its Awadh Park centre here for years, and Wipro, Coforge and a range of mid-sized firms have offices in the surrounding business centres. It's the easiest part of the city to commute to from Indira Nagar, Mahanagar or Gomti Nagar Extension, and a common place for a first IT job.

Genpact and process-plus-digital work

Genpact has a significant Lucknow presence, and roles there often start on the process side. For many people it's a first employer and a stepping stone: learn the systems, then move towards automation, monitoring and operations work, internally or elsewhere.

Lucknow-born tech firms and startups

Smaller companies such as CEDCOSS and Sigma IT build products and services from Lucknow. Teams are small, so a DevOps engineer might handle the pipeline, the servers and the monitoring all at once. You learn fast, and your pay tends to track how much you can own.

What's being built next

Uttar Pradesh notified its GCC Policy in May 2025, with incentives that include support for hiring local freshers, and the state has said it wants around one in ten of India's new capability centres. Noida will take most of them in the short term. Lucknow, though, is named as a future GCC destination, and there are plans for an AI City here too. New centres usually need DevOps and cloud people early, because the infrastructure comes first.

Company type Examples with a Lucknow presence What DevOps work looks like How hard to get in
Large IT campusHCL (IT City)Infrastructure and cloud for global clientsStructured; fundamentals matter
IT services, Gomti NagarTCS, Wipro, CoforgeClient pipelines, migration, release supportEasiest for freshers
Process + digital operationsGenpactAutomation, monitoring, ops toolingEasy to enter; grow internally
Local firms and startupsCEDCOSS, Sigma ITOwn the pipeline and infra end to endDepth over breadth

Company names indicate a Lucknow presence only, not a hiring partnership with SwitchtoDevOps.

DevOps Engineer Salary in Lucknow (2026)

Here's something most course pages won't admit: there isn't much reliable salary data specifically for DevOps engineers in Lucknow. The samples on the big salary sites are small. So rather than invent a confident number, here's what we can say with reasonable care.

IT freshers in Lucknow typically start somewhere around ₹3.5–6 LPA. DevOps roles sit in a similar band at entry level and pull ahead with experience, especially once Kubernetes and Terraform are on your CV. The ranges below are directional, built from public listings and city-level data.

Role Fresher / 0–1 yr 2–4 yrs 5+ yrs
DevOps / Cloud Engineer₹3–5 LPA₹5–9 LPA₹10–16 LPA
Build & Release Engineer₹3–4.5 LPA₹4.5–8 LPA₹9–14 LPA
Azure DevOps Engineer₹3–5 LPA₹5.5–9 LPA₹10–16 LPA
Site Reliability Engineer₹4–6 LPA₹7–12 LPA₹13–20 LPA

Directional ranges from public Lucknow listings and city-level IT pay data, September 2026. See how we calculate our figures.

One more practical point. Pay in Lucknow varies a lot between employers doing similar work, so before accepting an offer, ask what the role actually involves day to day. A title that says DevOps sometimes means manual deployments and night-time support; sometimes it means real pipeline and cloud ownership.

For comparison, Payscale's 2026 data puts the average base salary for a DevOps engineer in Noida at around ₹13 LPA, with early-career engineers averaging roughly ₹7.5 LPA. That gap is real, and it's the main reason the next section exists. For the national picture, see our DevOps salary guide for India.

Lucknow, Noida or Remote: Where Should You Start in DevOps?

Short answer: if you're a fresher who wants the most openings and fastest growth, Noida is the stronger first stop. If you want to stay near family and can accept a slower start, begin in Lucknow. Remote DevOps work is a real option, but it mostly opens up after one or two years of hands-on production experience.

Lucknow Noida Remote, from Lucknow
Entry-level DevOps pay₹3–5 LPA₹5–9 LPARarely open to freshers
With 2–3 years' experience₹5–9 LPA₹9–15 LPAOften near the employer's city pay
1BHK rent near work₹8–14K₹15–25KYour Lucknow rent
Number of openingsLimitedManyGrowing, competitive
Suits you ifFamily and savings come firstYou want range and speedYou have experience and discipline

I'd push back gently on one assumption, though. Moving to Noida isn't automatically the smart money move for a fresher. Once you've paid ₹18,000 in rent, travelled home a few times and eaten out more than you'd like, a ₹6 LPA Noida offer can leave you with less in the bank than a ₹4.5 LPA Lucknow one. The picture changes after a couple of years. An engineer with real EKS, Terraform and pipeline experience can negotiate hard in Noida, or skip the move altogether and apply for remote roles.

Remote employers, by the way, test differently. They want clear written updates, tidy pull requests and someone who can debug a production problem on a call without a senior sitting beside them. They also probe Kubernetes and Terraform harder than most local interviews do. None of that is out of reach from Lucknow. It just takes real work experience first. If Noida is on your list, our DevOps course in Noida page covers that market properly, and this guide to remote DevOps jobs from India is honest about what remote actually requires.

How This DevOps Training in Lucknow Works: Structure, Timings & Fees

DurationAbout 2 months (10 weeks)
Live sessions20 sessions × 3 hours = 60 hours, Saturday and Sunday
Projects5, deployed on real AWS infrastructure
Batch size15 students, maximum
RecordingsEvery session, lifetime access
Batch startEvery Sunday

Batch timings that fit Lucknow schedules

Classes run on Saturday and Sunday, 3 hours each, and a new batch starts every Sunday. If you're on shifts at an IT City or Gomti Nagar campus, share your roster during the demo. Shift workers usually combine live classes with same-day recordings and send their doubts on Slack.

Online vs classroom DevOps classes in Lucknow

Classroom institutes have a genuine strength: some people simply learn better with a teacher in the room and batchmates beside them. If that's you, it's worth knowing.

DevOps is awkward to teach that way, though. You learn it by breaking your own setup and working out what went wrong, and in a batch of thirty, a trainer can show the fix once but can't debug everyone's cluster. With fifteen people online, I usually know by the second week who is stuck where. And there's a practical side in Lucknow: anyone who has driven from Aliganj to Vibhuti Khand at 6 PM, or down Shaheed Path in the rain, knows how much of an evening a daily commute can eat.

Course fee: ₹35,000

The fee is ₹35,000, and it includes AWS credits for all five projects, so you never put your own card on an AWS account. You can pay in full, or in 3 monthly instalments of about ₹11,667 with no interest. There's a 7-day refund window if the course turns out not to be for you.

We also offer an ₹80,000 expert track. The DevOps course fees page compares both side by side.

DevOps Course Curriculum Mapped to Lucknow Job Descriptions

Lucknow DevOps listings can look like a wall of tool names. Put ten of them side by side, though, and the same nine skills keep appearing, just worded differently each time.

Module How Lucknow JDs phrase it Why it matters here
Linux & shell scripting"Good hands-on Linux and scripting"The first technical round usually starts here
Git & GitHub"Version control, branching strategy"Assumed everywhere; gaps show quickly
AWS core services"Experience with AWS: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC"The most requested cloud overall
Docker"Containerisation"Often a practical task in interviews
Kubernetes on EKS"Kubernetes / orchestration"The clearest pay jump in local and remote JDs
Jenkins & GitHub Actions"CI/CD pipeline setup and support"Services firms lean Jenkins; startups prefer Actions
Terraform & Ansible"Infrastructure as code, config management"Rare on fresher CVs, so it stands out
Prometheus & Grafana"Monitoring and alerting"A natural bridge for support and NOC staff
ArgoCD & DevSecOps basics"GitOps, security scanning"Appears in GCC and remote roles

Two tools you won't spend time on: Nagios and CloudFormation. Current job descriptions have largely moved to Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring, and Terraform is preferred for infrastructure because it works across clouds rather than tying you to one.

GenAI runs through the course as well. AI assistants help you draft Terraform, write Dockerfiles and make sense of a failed pipeline log. They are also wrong, confidently, often enough that part of the skill is knowing when to ignore them. Read more about the GenAI module, compare clouds in our AWS vs Azure vs GCP guide, or see the full DevOps curriculum.

Real AWS DevOps Projects for Your Lucknow Interview Portfolio

Every project ends up on your GitHub, and most have a live URL. That matters more than it sounds. An interviewer who has read fifty CVs listing "Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins" will remember the person who opened a working link.

E-commerce app on AWS. A three-tier shopping cart on EC2, RDS and S3 behind a load balancer. It covers the AWS fundamentals that structured campus rounds at IT City and in Gomti Nagar tend to test first.

Microservices blog with Docker Compose. Four independent services, a database and a cache. The next time someone asks if you've worked with microservices, you can show them rather than describe them.

Portfolio site with GitHub Actions. It deploys itself to S3 and CloudFront with a custom domain and SSL. Small, but you can open it on your phone in the middle of an interview.

REST API with a Jenkins pipeline to EKS. Commit, build, test, deploy, roll back. Jenkins is still common in Lucknow's service companies, so this is usually where interviewers dig deepest.

Capstone: the full stack. Terraform provisions it, Jenkins ships it to EKS, Prometheus and Grafana monitor it, and Trivy scans the images. This is the project you walk a remote or product-company panel through from start to finish.

Smaller panels care less about what you built and more about why you built it that way. So we practise explaining your decisions out loud, not just getting things to run.

What You Need Before You Start

A laptop with 8 GB of RAM makes the Docker and Kubernetes weeks comfortable. If yours has 4 GB, mention it when you enrol and you can work on a cloud sandbox instead. You'll need steady internet for live classes, though a phone hotspot is fine as backup. The real requirement is time: six to eight hours a week outside class. People who can't find that time don't usually fail. They just finish much later than they meant to.

If you studied in Hindi medium, please don't let that hold you back. The English DevOps asks of you is error messages, commands and documentation. It's repetitive and technical, and it becomes familiar quickly. Main classes are in English because interviews and documentation are, and in doubt sessions you can ask for an explanation in Hindi. कुछ समझ न आए तो बेझिझक हिंदी में पूछिए।

If you're coming from exam preparation, you'll probably be asked about the gap in your CV. The answer that works is short and honest: what you prepared for, why you decided to switch, and what you've built since, with the GitHub links to prove it. Interviewers respect a clear decision far more than an awkward cover story.

You don't need a coding background. You'll write shell scripts and read YAML files, which sounds harder than it is. One honest exception: if you only want a certificate for an appraisal and don't plan to build the projects, a cheaper self-paced course will serve you better. Coming from outside IT altogether? Start with this guide to switching to DevOps from a non-IT background.

DevOps Placement Support for Lucknow, Noida and Remote Roles

You'll be preparing for two quite different kinds of hiring. Big campuses in Lucknow and Noida run structured processes with tests and several rounds. Smaller product teams and remote employers run short panels that go much deeper on fewer topics.

Resume and profiles. An ATS-friendly resume written in the language Lucknow and Noida JDs actually use, plus Naukri and LinkedIn profiles set up for both local recruiters and remote roles. Every project listed with its repo and live link.

Interview prep for both formats. What a structured technical round usually covers, how a product or remote panel differs, and a ten-minute capstone walkthrough you'll rehearse until it feels natural.

Mock interviews. Technical and HR mocks with written feedback. We practise the salary conversation too, because freshers here often accept the first figure they hear.

Referrals and job alerts. Alumni referrals where they exist, and relevant openings in Lucknow, Noida, the wider NCR and remote roles.

If you decide Noida is the right first step, we'll help with that too: which Noida and Greater Noida employers hire freshers for DevOps, how their interviews differ from the ones in Lucknow, and what a realistic first-year budget looks like once rent, food and trips home are counted.

For the record: in our best recent cohort, up to 85% of students who completed every project reported an offer within three months. That's a national figure, self-reported and not audited, and it isn't a guarantee. Here's how we calculate it. While you're preparing, the DevOps interview questions guide is a good place to start.

Your DevOps Trainer

I'm Pritam Phadtare, and I teach every batch myself. I've spent 8+ years as a DevOps engineer (I am an ex-DevOps Lead at Maxgen Technologies Pvt. Ltd), running production AWS infrastructure on EKS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Aurora and MSK, and I've taught live batches since 2021. I keep batches to fifteen for a simple reason: I want to read your code myself, and I can't do that for a room of forty.

DevOps Training in Lucknow — FAQs

What is the DevOps course fee in Lucknow?

The course fee is ₹35,000, and it includes AWS credits for all five projects. You can pay in full, or in 3 monthly instalments of about ₹11,667. An ₹80,000 expert level is also available.

Is there a DevOps course in Lucknow with placement support?

Yes. You get resume and profile help, preparation for structured and panel interviews, mock interviews, and referrals and job alerts across Lucknow, Noida, NCR and remote roles. Support continues after the course ends. We don't guarantee jobs.

What is the salary of a DevOps engineer in Lucknow?

Reliable Lucknow-specific data is limited. As a rough guide, freshers usually start around ₹3–5 LPA, and engineers with two to four years often earn ₹5–9 LPA. Noida pays noticeably more at the same level.

Which companies hire DevOps engineers in Lucknow?

HCL at IT City on Sultanpur Road, TCS in Vibhuti Khand, Wipro and Coforge in Gomti Nagar, Genpact, and smaller local firms such as CEDCOSS. Service companies hire the most freshers; smaller teams expect broader skills. None of these companies is a hiring partner of SwitchtoDevOps.

Does HCL IT City hire DevOps engineers?

HCL's Lucknow campus runs infrastructure and cloud work for global clients, so DevOps-adjacent roles do come up there. It hires through its own campus drives and careers portal. A deployed project portfolio helps you stand out in either route.

Should I start my DevOps career in Lucknow or move to Noida?

Noida has many more openings and higher pay, but rent and travel reduce the gain for freshers. If staying near family matters most, start in Lucknow. If you want the widest choice and faster growth, Noida makes sense.

Can I get a remote DevOps job while living in Lucknow?

Yes, but usually after one or two years of real production experience. Fully remote roles for complete freshers are rare. A common route is a first job in Lucknow or Noida, then a remote role once you have experience to show.

I spent years preparing for government exams. Can I still switch to DevOps?

Yes. Exam preparation builds the steady study habits DevOps needs. In interviews, explain the gap briefly and honestly, then point to what you've built since. Your deployed projects will do most of the convincing.

Is this DevOps training in Lucknow online or classroom?

It's fully live online, on Zoom. Nothing is pre-recorded. You attend as the class happens, ask questions and get your errors fixed live. Every session is also recorded, so missing a class doesn't mean losing it.

Can freshers from AKTU colleges join?

Yes, and many of our learners are freshers. We start from Linux basics. By the end you'll have five deployed AWS projects on GitHub, which is what helps a fresher CV stand out in Lucknow and Noida interviews.

Is DevOps training available in Hindi?

Main classes are in English, because interviews and documentation are. In doubt-clearing sessions and one-on-one mentoring, you can ask for explanations in Hindi. Many learners read documentation in English and clear concepts in Hindi.

Which DevOps certification helps most for Lucknow jobs?

AWS certifications are the most widely recognised. Start with Cloud Practitioner, then Solutions Architect Associate. The course prepares you for Cloud Practitioner; the exam fee is paid separately to AWS. In most interviews, deployed projects still count for more.

How long does it take to learn DevOps?

About two months (10 weeks) to reach a job-ready foundation, if you attend the live classes and put in six to eight hours a week outside them. Nobody masters DevOps that fast, but you'll be able to build, explain and keep learning on your own.

Why don't you promise 100% placement?

Because a job depends on your interviews and the market, not only on the course. Guarantee offers usually come with conditions so strict that few people qualify. We'd rather be clear: solid support, honest numbers and a 7-day refund window.

How is this different from classroom DevOps institutes in Lucknow?

Mainly three things. Batches stop at fifteen. The fee is published and includes AWS credits. And the tools are current, meaning EKS, Terraform, ArgoCD and GitHub Actions, rather than older tools that most listings have moved on from.
